Traveling With Points of You
A Points of You Game
There are different kinds of trips. There’s the first big trip we take without our parents. It is our first independent trip alone or with friends. You know – the one we work about a year for, plus use all of our savings including allowance, birthday and holiday gifts received over the years. Remember how excited you were before this trip?
Later on in our lives we go on romantic trips with our spouse, travel with our family and on trips with our group of friends.
All are amazing and fun but also challenging and dynamic. There are so many things that can turn out different than planned or just happen along the trip.
Some of the unplanned situations are up to us (such as forgetting the passport or missing the flight) and some are out of our control (such as bad weather, food poisoning, attraction closed or the bus breaking down). Either way we have to deal with an unplanned, usually unpleasant scenario.
Of course this is frustrating and annoying but we can choose whether we let it ruin our trip or whether we find a way to move on despite the change forced on us.
This is where Points of You comes into the picture.
Understanding the need to cope with the challenges and to leverage them, to open up and find answers we didn’t think we had within ourselves and to better understand situations by getting to know ourselves through others, Points of You® developed these amazing games:
The Coaching Game
The Coaching Game is a creative and effective tool.
It offers us to look deep inside ourselves, open up through a nonjudgmental game, expands our perspective and understanding, experience true and authentic communication and see new points of view.
This easy-to-use game features associative cards, each depicting a photographic image and a topic, accompanied by a thought-provoking book.
The Coaching Game’s contents include 65 cards with magnificent, breathtaking photos and various words offering us to open up and expand our thoughts, a Coaching Book, a Coaching Ticket Notepad, and a Coaching Layout Chart.
Faces is a game that is all about people and the way we reflect one another.
A direct and powerful tool that allows us to look at ourselves straight in the eyes and to get to know ourselves through the observation of others.
It consists of various black & white photo cards of faces captured in special moments, a mirror card, reflection cards, process maps and an inspirational book.
Punctum is a game based on associative connections between stunning photos, intriguing themes and meaningful questions to create genuine learning and development.
It contains 33 photo cards, 33 theme cards, 33 question cards and a layout process chart.
These three games enable us to deal with situations and find insights we didn’t think we had in us.
The game can help us at any stage of the trip – starting from the decision of where we want to travel and continuing throughout any dilemma or situation we face during the trip itself.
I am sure you will agree it is safe to say – don’t leave abroad without it. It is an enjoyable, thought-provoking game that allows us to take a time-out, breathe, and look at life from another perspective, hardly takes up space in the suitcase and can make the trip so much easier.
So start packing and have an amazing time!
